Hidden Figures: The Musical
My final project for a musical theatre course I took at Appalachian State (2018) was to adapt a book or movie into a musical and create the concept. My group and I chose Hidden Figures, which features strong women, and tells a story rarely recounted in history textbooks. We believe this story lends itself to a musical format, and below you will find our proposal and presentation.
Agenda-Setting in News Media Study
In my Communications Research Methods course, our class researched agenda-setting in different media outlets in reference to how news outlets portray President Trump, and how people reacted to this on social media. We used content analysis and focus groups.
Non-Profit Theatre Business Plan
My final project for my Arts Management course was to create a hypothetical theater company focused on a cause that we think is missing in the arts world. My partner and I decided to focus on accessibility, providing theatrical experiences for everyone, no matter their age, sex, race, religion, orientation, ability, or demographic. Below is our business plan and positioning statement.
